Enviro-Math
Summer Camp is a joint effort between the Diboll ISD Family Education Center and
the Diboll Housing Authority. For 4 days, children from grades
3 - 6 attend the Pineywoods Conservation Center in Broaddus, Texas
and use the environment as a classroom to learn math skills. Soil
conservationists, professional foresters and Texas game wardens
work with the students on outdoor math skills and activities.
Students also look forward to canoeing, fishing and the high elements
ropes course. Donations from the Temple-Inland Foundation, the
Diboll Booster Club, the Diboll Police Department and individuals
make this camp possible. |
